French cats are usually thought of as beret wearing, baguette chewing Le Chat Noir poster adorning felines. But in this episode we discuss The Rabbi's Cat and A Cat in Paris, two animated films made in France and starring cats. Animated cats. Not real cats. Obviously. But both of them break free of those old French cat stereotypes. They may cavort on rooftops, eat fish and study for bar mitzvahs, but in neither film will you see a cat wear a beret.
